The game starts to install but quits to the Desktop. Whats wrong?
Make sure that you have enough hard drive space available on your hard drive before installing. If you don’t have at least 50 Megabytes free, the (RCT) game can’t install. The expansion packs will require even more. If you are using an “active” anti-virus scanner (i.e., one that detects virus activity as your computer runs as opposed to one that only scans files for viruses when you tell it to), you may need to disable that feature before you install the game. The installation utility must be able to create and/or modify executable files to do its job, and many active anti-virus scanners will detect this as “virus activity” and literally blow the installer out of the water. If you have enough space, check the shiny underside of the game CD for fingerprints, smudges, scratches, or anything else that may cause your drive to have trouble reading it. If the CD looks clean and undamaged, then your CD-ROM drive may be running in “MS-DOS Compatibility Mode”. Consult your Windows 95/98/ME manu
