The FE-210 has a Digital Image Stabilization shooting mode. What is it, and how does it work?

The Digital Image Stabilization shooting mode is designed to reduce or eliminate the blurring effect that can occur when either the camera or the subject is in motion during image capture. Images taken in low light are particularly susceptible to blurring because the shutter is held open longer in order to expose the CCD to enough light to capture the image. When the camera is in Digital Image Stabilization shooting mode, the light sensitivity of the CCD is boosted so that the shutter speed can stay fast enough to freeze motion. The adjustment is made automatically when the level of ambient light would be insufficient to maintain a shutter speed of 1/125 at ISO 64.
