Most basically, the center provides a forum in which teachers can discuss their classroom experiences – sharing successful outcomes, and offering new approaches to common challenges. The Center achieves this by offering a new faculty orientation geared toward teaching strategy, and by offering workshops, discussions, and lectures related to teaching throughout the academic year. The Faculty Center for Teaching is interested in assisting individual faculty members, departments, and inter-disciplinary teams to develop programming focused on teaching; and supports faculty with grants to support pedagogical revision.
