The EdenPure heaters…are they efficient?
Yes, but if you are really asking are they more efficient than other electric heaters then the answer is not by much. They are well built and safe and they are very quiet. They are more efficient then a lot of heating systems because of the transmission losses and other inherent inefficiencies. What it all boils down to is cost. If used correctly and where and when needed they can save you about 100 dollars per month over conventional heat. The maximum electric a regular plug in heater can use is 1500 watts which, by physics, equals 5200 BTUs per hour. So the maximum any plug in 110W heater can create is 5200 BTU’s per hour. Some houses can take up to 20,000 BTU’s per hour of a standard whole house system to heat. Typically, an EdenPure heater will heat about 1000 square feet of a moderately insulated area. I hope that answers your question. One final thing, the people who own EdenPures swear by them. I sell more of that heater than all else and get very few returns.
