The Dr.Downspout strainer is unusual in design, the wire runs horizontally versus the usual vertical wires in any other strainers that I have seen. Does it work?

The longer neck and the sheer weight of the Dr.Downspout strainer makes it impossible to be unintentionally dislodged from the downspout, and the large round head of the strainer enlarges the gutter outlet drainage area.
