If your machine has more than one drive, test the CD-ROM in each drive. For Mac users: When you put the CD-ROM in your Mac, two disc images will appear on your desktop: one for the audio called “Audio CD,” and one for the interface called “GuitarWorld.” Double-click the “GuitarWorld” disc, and then double-click “GW for OS X” or “GW for OS 9” (depending on your operating system) and the interface will launch from there. For PC users: The Guitar World interface should auto-run, unless that feature is disabled in your operating system. To manually launch the interface, open Windows Explorer, select the GuitarWorld disc image, and then double-click the file “GW_Start.exe” file. If the interface still won’t launch, you can also access the CD-ROM’s content directly. The audio files will play in any stereo or through your computer’s media player, and the video files (.mpgs) can be opened from the media/video folder, and will also play in your computer’s media player.
