The Dark Tourism Forum appears to appeal to higher education level students and researchers – why is this?

0

The Dark Tourism Forum project is funded by the University of Central Lancashire and is led by a Project Team with a primary interest in academic research and undergraduate and postgraduate education. Therefore, the style and presentation of the Project is geared towards higher education. However, we do recognise and appreciate interest in dark tourism is growing at a compulsory and further education level, particularly in the 14-19 curriculum areas. Indeed, many of the national qualifications at pre-degree level within the UK for instance, are incorporating some aspect of dark tourism into their frameworks – often under the banner of ‘Niche Tourism’ or ‘Special Interest Tourism’. Therefore, we have launched a resource area within the site that is specifically designed for schools and colleges. Please click here for further information.
