Several years ago, based on the recommendations of toxicologists, emergency physicians and poison control centers, the State Medical Direction Committee passed a motion and it was supported by the EMS Advisory Board to administratively remove this item as ” required equipment” on any permitted EMS vehicle. Be aware that if an agency OMD wishes for this item to be carried on their permitted EMS vehicles, it must remain in date.
