The crane operates but it doesnt perform as it once did, what do I need to do?
The operating performance is basically two parts. The first is a mechanical question. You need to inspect all of the cranes pulleys bearings and pins for wear and lubrication. Also check the winch drum bearings; they may also need the same type of maintenance too. To locate the winch drum bearings please see your Owners Manual; Section 11.1 and locate part numbers 8 & 19. You can use a spray-on type of lubrication on the winch drive bearings found on each end of the winch drum. If this doesnt help, the Winch drive may require to be removed from the crane in order to service it. If you have any questions please call us.
