The Court accepts only certain electronic file formats. May parties stipulate to use a different file format(s) in their case?
Yes, but only as long as the public can read that document format. Exceptions might apply in special circumstances such as where the files are under seal or unofficial, or there if there is a compelling reason to allow a foreign format. The reason the Court has chosen to employ certain file formats is to enable both lawyers and the public to read these files without having to purchase additional software.
