The Compaq Presario SR5722UK. Is it any good?
*Ok lets try and cover this one question at a time, so bear with me a moment here. 1) The link you posted is actually a pretty decent computer. You won’t be breaking any land speed records, but honestly, you’ll be able to play all the current games, and a good portion of them on relatively high graphics. 2) A Dual-Core processor basically means that there is two processor chips on one processor. Sounds odd, but basically every PC needs a processor, this is the brains of the system. Your machine has 2 built into one socket. It’s like having 2 heads on one neck. It’s good. They’re up to 8cores now i believe. 3) Don’t worry about the ram speed, that’s not important to you. You have 2gb of maximum ram, that’s pretty decent for a run of the mill machine. 3) The video card is a 9series card. The latest and greatest cards are 10series, so you’re doing good here still. 4) I’m sorry, I’m Canadian so I have no idea how much 300 pounds are (or is it euros now?).
