Your screen saver installer gives you options on which color depth version you want to install. Make sure that you have installed the proper screen saver version for your system. During the installation procedure, the installer menu checks to see what color depth setting your monitor is currently set to, and it advises you as to which version to install. If you install the “thousands of colors” version, but have your monitor set to display only 256 colors, the images will not display correctly until you change your monitor setting to “High Color (16 bit)” or a higher setting. If you normally keep your monitor set to display 256 colors, be sure to install the “256 Color” version of the screen saver. If you normally keep your monitor set to display thousands of colors or higher, installing the “1,000s of colors” version will give you higher quality picture display. If you often switch between the “256 color” setting and higher settings, you should install the “256 Color” version of the s
