The buses get very warm during the summer months. Why aren they cooler?

All buses in the RTC fleet have the most advanced air conditioning system available. While it may be the most advanced of its type, it still can cool only 20 degrees below the outside temperature, which that means that when it is 110 degrees outside, as it is many days during the Southern Nevada summer, the temperature within the bus can only drop to 90 degrees. Keep in mind that when the bus doors stay open to let passengers on and off, a tremendous amount of cool air can escape.
