The Boards of ACCMA and ACTIA have approved the two agencies merging; how will this affect the Vehicle Registration Fee?

0

ACCMA and ACTIA have approved a merger of the two agencies into a new Alameda County Transportation Commission (“ACTC”) which would have members from all the jurisdictions currently represented on the ACCMA Board. This merger will be presented to the Board of Supervisors, all of the cities, and BART and AC Transit for approval over the next several months. If this merger is approved by the Board of Supervisors and a majority of the cities in the County representing a majority of the population in the incorporated areas, the new agency will assume all the powers of both ACCMA and ACTIA and the Vehicle Registration Fee would be collected by and administered by the new agency pursuant to the Expenditure Plan.
