Yes, they are extremely easy to ride. The reason is that there is no motor or engine weight above the axle line. All of the weight of the motor is inside the wheel. The batteries are in the extreme bottom of the bike below the axle line. This means that the effective weight of the bike is only about 8 inches off of the ground. There is also no gasoline weight mounted high to cause balance problems. Additionally, the overall weight is very low. Compare the ZEV5000 or ZEV6100 to the slower (and radically more expensive) Vectrix. The ZEV is 200 lbs lighter for a bike that is virtually the identical wheelbase.
