The Bible discusses the coming of the anti-christ; what is the Urantia book`s stance on that?
[print] [email] As a revelation, The Urantia Book really doesn’t take a stance — it relates facts that lead to the discovering of spiritual truths. An antichrist is not mentioned in The Urantia Book and a search of the Bible finds but four mentions by John in his writings. From these few verses it is obvious first, that John is assigning the concept of antichrist to anyone who didn’t believe in the divinity of Jesus, to disbelievers, and second, that belief was being expressed during John’s time — about 100 A.D. There are no references to an antichrist being a person or a spirit arriving at some later date. There are some Biblical interpreters who ascribe certain references in the Bible to mean a being who will bring death and dstruction onto the earth – and they call that being Antichrist, but if one is looking for literal references, the word “antichrist” is found only in a few places.
