The best of Europe?
I’m not sure if this is the best of the Europe 72 run, but it is certainly up there. It’s a solid show from front to back with hardly a clunker in its midst. The Playin’ is juicy and sweet and the Dark Star is…well another excellent 72 DARK STAR!!! Good Lovin’, Caution, etc. are a wonderful reminder of the older days with plenty of juicy jamming and Pig raps. The second set here is absolutely fantastic – a must have for sure. The first set ain’t bad either. 5 star sound, 4.5 star show. It loses a half a star because the first set has a few too many songs in it. It’s fine if there’s plenty of jamming but most of the first set is just pretty by the book (but still good! 4 star first set, 5 star second set).
