The Auto EQ will not begin when I press the NEXT PAGE button to advance?
This is a safety feature which prevents the EQ from spiking in the event of a malfunctioning microphone or cable. The way that you can tell if the minimum threshold (approximately 100 dBSPL at the mic input) has been reached is to look in the LCD display as you increase the pink noise level. The sentence which reads “Turn Up Level” will change to read “Set To Performance Level” once the threshold has been reached. Step 1- Test Microphone and cable: We recommend you use the dbx RTA-M microphone for the Auto EQ. Other micrphones may not work correctly. Make sure the Mic Level Bar – on the LCD display – is indicating that the microphopne is receiving input. You can also test the RTA microphone and cable with a standard microphone preamplifier which supplies at least 9 Volts of phantom power. Once the RTA mic and cable have been verified to work properly proceed. Step 2- Increase Pink Noise level: Try raising the level of the Pink Noise, but don’t exced +6 dB; you want to leave enough head
