The assessment results didnt provide me with what I wanted, I expected my career choice to be different! Any help regarding this issue?
The assessment is only one way of understanding who you are! We often get caught up in thinking that employers look for technical skills only (like IT, knowledge about the industry, finance/budgeting etc),however employers also look for what we call soft skills. These soft skills are what makes you employable and highly sought after by employers! Things like teamwork, critical problem solving, leadership, communication etc. With these soft skills your path is often open to other possibilities you never thought of! Of course, it is a good idea to get a professional assessment done with an accredited career advisor. Check with your HCT or University or contact Abu Dhabi Emiratisation Council or Emirates National Development Programme.
