The Arcus Foundation has released new funding guidelines for grantmaking. What are the major changes?
The following is a list of the most significant changes, many of which are described more fully in the Q and A’s that follow: • The Arcus Foundation now accepts letters of inquiry and proposals on a rolling basis throughout the year. • The Foundation will award grants four times per year. • The Foundation continues to require groups to have an EEO policy that includes sexual orientation and gender identity as well as all categories required by applicable law. Grantseekers should make sure their policies comply with what their state and federal laws mandate. • Priorities within the Arcus LGBT Program are framed within our two major program areas: Religion & Values; Work at the Intersection of Racial Justice, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. • We have a funding program to achieve LGBT rights in Michigan • The Foundation funds international LGBT human rights. • Arcus has two funding programs: the Arcus LGBT Program and the Arcus Great Apes Program. • The Arcus Great Apes Program no
