An Intermediate Unit is a regional educational service agency. The Governor’s Schools track candidates and participants geographically by their intermediate unit region. Your region depends upon which intermediate unit serves the school district in which your family resides on a full-time basis. Who are the instructors at the Governor’s Schools? The Governor’s Schools strive to assemble faculty, support and adjunct staff who are practitioners in their fields and who bring a breadth of expertise and backgrounds to the programs. The Governor’s School for the Arts draws its faculty, mostly college level instructors and performing and creative artists, from the east coast and beyond.
