The Accuflex Pro’s reading changed after the beep, what’s the correct reading?
The Accuflex Pro provides “real” temperature values in a short period of time by using a fast reacting sensor and beeps when the maximum temperature has been detected. However, it has the ability to read after the beep. If it detects a higher temperature, which could be caused by movement within the mouth to an area with a higher temperature, it will display this higher temperature. The Accuflex Pro will not react if lower temperatures are detected, thus providing only the maximal temperature value. This is intended to help avoid potential errors caused by improper placement during use. Therefore the final reading (approximately 1 second after removing from the patient) is the correct one.
