Almost every class is open to all of our students. Sometimes, there are exceptions– some of our math classes have prerequisites, for example– but generally, you’ll be able to take any class that you see in our course list, no matter what grade you’re in. Having said that, some of our classes are made up of 6-10th graders, but others are divided up more by age. Here’s how it works: SEP offers 2 sections of each course. One section of each course is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings, and another section of the same course is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday afternoons; same lessons, just held on different days for different groups of students. Some instructors will open both sections up to students of all ages, but other instructors like to have one section open only to older students, and another section open only to younger students. Special situations like this will be explained to you at class registration, which happens on the first day of camp.
