Tell us something about the cat picture seen in Eyes Wide Shut?
That cat was called “POLLY” She was nearly 22 when she died. She was the one of the first kittens from Leo and Pandora, the first cats we ever had. Leo was a ginger tom and Pandora was a pedigree “Colour-point”. Polly loved Dad. She would sleep on his chest if he let her. I painted the picture of her for his 60th birthday. Luckily, I didn’t jinx her and she lived on for some years after. I consider his placing of that painting in such a prominant position in Eyes Wide Shut, as a huge compliment and a thankyou from Stanley.
