Tell me about the external monitor feature in Score Simple Plus?
Sure. Turns out that both the iPad and the iPhone 4.0 can be connected to an external VGA monitor using the iPad VGA Connection Kit (Link to Apple Store). We know that sometimes at games you want to hook up a big external monitor, or better yet, a projector to show the game score. Score Simple fully supports that capability and will show the game score in a specially formatted view. See the image to the left. Even the animation when the teams change sides works! Right now Score Simple Plus supports 640×480, 1024×768, and 1280×720 screen resolutions. (Please note that we have found that sometimes the first time you turn on the external monitor in Score Simple Plus, the screen looks weird, but turning it off and then right back on again fixes the problem.) We’re working on enabling a TV output mode like Steve Jobs uses when he demonstrates the latest IOS devices. Watch for that in a later release…
