This is a compatibility problem between the SCSI card and the ASPI layer drivers used. SilverFast installations as early as version 5.5 usually install ASPI layer files (ver 4.71.2) on a Windows system. LaserSoft Imaging quality control discovered that a Tekram (395u) card will NOT function properly when ASPI drivers in version 4.71.2 are in the system. Installing ASPI Layer drivers version 4.6 will cure the problem.
