Is Your Teen Getting Enough Exercise in Gym? Monday February 16, 2009This winter has been cold here in the Northeast of Pennsylvania. We do not get outside much, let alone outside to exercise. One thing that has been a comfort for me is the thought that at least our teen is getting gym twice a week – not enough, but something. A recent article highlights the fact that twice a week gym isn’t enough – and that our teens might be sitting on the bench more than exercising! The spokesman from the American Heart Association was quoted in the article, stating that children and teens should be getting an hour a day of physical activity – with half of that being at school.
