Technology based on nature?
Technology based on a very great understanding of and working with nature will help allow us to sustain a better lifestyle for everyone at less cost to each of us. A pure biological/ecological technology is beyond us right now. But that is not necessary for us to reduce pollution to a level reasonably easily dealt with. Learning from nature and applying that learning is creating more wonders than we can ever learn about in our lifetimes. Look at reference 1 – it’s an artificial leaf that uses photosynthesis to split water into hydrogen and oxygen which can be used in fuel cells to give power to isolated areas. The fuel cell burns the hydrogen and oxygen to water to provide energy. In a relatively new medical technique, mouse cells are cloned as the basis for a whole range of diseases including cancer and autoimmune diseases. For example, I have a close family member who had idiopathic autoimmune hemolytic anemia, had a month’s treatment with Rituxan a year ago, and whose blood finally
