Technology and Teaching What does the web-based technology allow students to do in this virtual classroom?
This online learning environment creates a virtual classroom that supports audio, application sharing, and content display. It allows for students to engage in elements of interaction that cannot be provided in a text-based course. Students can join a class in “real-time” with interactive and audio features; they may chat with the instructor and each other, view presentations, ask questions verbally, engage in “real-time” class discussion, and collaborate on projects and presentations. Classes will meet weekly at regularly scheduled times, usually 6:00 – 8:45 PM central standard time.
