Technically, who sends out the announcements the student or the parents?

Answer Dear Penny, Thanks for asking this question. I have just completed an column on the matter of graduation invitations and announcements, but failed to make this specific point. Technically either the parents or the students can do this. However, I suggest that one parent be in charge to make sure this is done correctly. In most cases students do not have much experience at this. This could be considered an excellent time to teach your children about such matters. More than likely, you as a parent will have a more up to date address book. Also, this can be quite time consuming. Students are still in school and preparing for final exams. This would be a good time to be supportive of the students and relieve them of this pressure. If you don’t, it may well not get done. I hope this helps clarify things for you.
