TDS refund cheque received but validity expired?
Once you have received the refund cheque, you are eligible for refund. You can go to Imphal income tax office and contact the Public relation officer or the ITO Ward-2, Imphal and request him to retalidate the cheque. It is easy for him and he can do it easily. So do not worry. First contact the Imphal ITO over phone 2220304. Ask him when to come to the office for revalidation of cheque. Please do not send the cheque to the ITO by post. You can never find it again. That is the end for your refund. Go in person. Request them. If they want to help you, it is just a matter of few munits.
