Tax relief check?
A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren’t, so are assuming they’ll get it earlier than they really are. Check your bank statement from when the original refund came – if it says “US Treasury” you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check $1500 is the most you’d get, but it could be $900, $600 for you and your spouse plus the $300 extra for your child. Your stimulus payment is based on your net federal income tax for 2007. If your tax was between $600 and $1200 on your joint return, you get back everything you paid. If your tax was less than $600, you get an even better deal, and get $600, even MORE than you paid in. If you paid over $1200 though, your rebate is limited to $1200.
Yes, you will get paper check. For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-…
