Talking about the alliance with Cisco, how did it affect IronPort’s business?
A. Cisco announced the acquisition of Iron Port in the beginning of this calendar year and completed the acquisition as of 20th June. After this merger, there has been no considerable change in areas like customer-facing team (sales and pre-sales) and product development team. But yes, there have been a quite few changes in the legal, HR, finance and other administrative functions. The biggest change that has happened is Cisco backing our product development with lots of funds and making the whole process much faster than before. Besides, our engineering team is very thrilled now, as they are provided with labs and the funds are available in a much bigger volume to them. Q. What have been the implications of this merger on your channel partners? A. Even after this merger, our channel partners in India and international are continuing with separate programs.
