System fails in entering sleep/suspend mode when running under Windows 95, why?

When APM is enabled in Windows 95, the operating system will periodically poll the status of the CD-ROM drive, the drive controller reports that the drive is still in use, preventing the computer from being suspended. Please perform the following to correct this problem: 1. Click on Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Device Manager. 2. Double click CD-ROM/TEAC-xxE/Settings. Click on “Auto Insert Notification” check box to disable it. Click OK.
