[posted 10/9/98] Question:I have been on Synthroid for a number of years with no problems, but the other night I woke up with something happening in my chest which is hard to describe. Anyway, it was really a pain just a scary “not right” feeling. I kept having this “wave of where is my heart or is is going to beat again” feeling. I couldn’t sleep. I have been having this off and on for several days. It’s mostly at night I notice it. I have my levels checked regularly but I have been taking Calcium substitute and wonder if that can be causing it. Because I read that somewhere. Also, I have been unable to lose weight where I’ve never had that problem before. And I have been exercising for several months. When I went last to doctor, he had me retested because my level seemed high, but then, he said the second test was normal. Please give me your thoughts.
