Synthetic Cannabis is legal, does that mean its safe?
Well, define ‘safe’. We haven’t heard of any acute or immediate adverse health effects, but this is a really new substance and it hasn’t been studied widely in humans. We do know that this is NOT marijuana but somewhat chemically related. It has different primary and side effects than pot, too. Surprisingly enough, no drugs are safe. Most drugs like these that are legal are so either because they are not meant to be consumed, or because insufficient testing has been done. Legal cannabis alternatives (aka: K2, Spice etc) contain synthetic cannabinoids like JWH-018 and unknown herbs. These are relatively new chemicals, which can cause unexpected effects.
