Ok, I know of some convicted people that should be locked in a dark hole and never thought of again. I understand why we have the death penalty. I’ve heard all the arguments over and over again. Still, I don’t understand how any form of killing as a punishment can be considered anything BUT cruel and unusual. Perhaps the cruelest part is the time spent knowing that an execution is going to happen someday, probably. We are born with a survival instinct, and knowing we will be killed has just got to be torture for the psyche. How does it feel to know the entire world has given up on you, and that you are judged not worthy to live? Isn’t it simply cruel to pass such a judgment onto someone? I believe everyone wants to be loved. Isn’t it unusual to kill people? I mean, how many people do you know that have killed anyone? Most of us don’t threaten our kids with death if they misbehave. Its just not a usual punishment. I know this is a simplistic answer, but to me it is just common sense tha
