Sunday, July 04, 2004 Question: What Do You Know About Dream Chocolate of Boise, ID?
A reader writes: “I would like to have any information that you have on “dreamchocolate” in Boise.” While I had never heard of them before, a few minutes on-line sleuthing revealed … not much. Dream Chocolate is a product of Salmon River Foods, located in Boise. Their specialty appears to be private-label chocolates for wholesale accounts. There is a fairly wide variety of novelty bars for sale on the site, but it’s hard to tell from the descriptions if they are all different or if it’s just the wrappers that are different. They don’t say what chocolate they use to make the bars, either. The organic chocolate bars at $2 for a 1oz bar at wholesale are expensive compared with what I consider to be the market leader in taste, Dagoba. I can’t find any mentions of them in places where people might normally comment on their quality. You can visit the Dream Chocolate store online at http://www.dreamchocolate.com/store/index.php. There’s not much information. Their address is: 2153 Century W
