Suggest the suitable herbicides for effective control of weeds in Paddy?
A. Benthiocarb(50%) 1.5 – 2.0 l/acre diluted in 200 liters of water and sprayed at 2-3 days after sowing in nursery (or) Cyehalopop butyl (10%) 400 ml diluted in 200 liters of water and sprayed at 14 to 15 days after sowing in nursery. In main field Butachlore(50%) 1.0 to 1.5 l (or) Anilofos (30%) 500ml (or) Pretelachlore (refith) (50%) 500ml (or) Benthiocarb (50%) 1.5 to 2.0 l any one of these mixed in 25 kg dry sand and spread on one acre 3 to 5 days after transplanting in thin film of water to control barnyard grass and other annual grasses. If grasses, sedges and broad leaved weeds are spread evenly in the field, Butachlore granuels (5%) 4 kg and 2,4 -D ethyl ester granuels(4%) 4kg mixed with 20 kg dry sand spread on one acre in thin film of water at 3 to 5 days after transplanting.
