During the first four days of class we will prepare your son or daughter for their state permit test. We are a state licensed facility to administer the permit test right in our classroom. That means your son or daughter will not have to take the permit test at the DMV but only go to the DMV to pick up the actual permit card. On the fifth day of class we will administer the state permit test. Once your son or daughter passes the permit test we will fill out and write down the test score on DMV Form 3001. If your son or daughter has reached the age of 15.5 years at this point, you can then go to the DMV to pick up their instruction permit. In most cases, (as long as your son or daughter is 15.5 years old) they will have their instruction permit by the sixth day of class. If your son or daughter is not yet 15.5 years old at the time of the permit test, they will then wait until they turn 15.5 years old and we will issue a signed 3001 form at that point.
