There is a great source for help and advice on starting a business and completing all the required paperwork to begin operating your business. For the State of Hawai`i there is the Business Action Center which helps Hawai`i’s entrepreneurs begin their small businesses. They provide information and forms for obtaining a general excise tax license, registering a trade name and employer registration, required permits for State, County and Federal Government agencies, counseling and workshops offered by other agencies, alternative financing programs, government procurement and other useful information to make your small business dreams a reality.
