Sticky heavy greases must give better protection for my wheel bearings?
The heaviness and stickiness of a grease depends on the application and temperature at which the grease is used. As with many things it is a question of giving the right “balance” of heaviness and stickiness. Very heavy and sticky greases, while giving very good resistance to bad rain conditions and resistance to “fling off”, are not suitable for use in high-speed wheel bearings. Shell greases are designed to optimise all requirements and give a product that will not let you down.
