STERILIZATION PRODUCTS What is the difference between an indicator and an integrator?
Both indicators and integrators tell you if all three critical parameters of sterilization have been met (time, temperature and steam penetration). The integrator is a higher order of indicator because it approximates a biological response. It also gives you a distinct accept or reject indication.
