Stefan Haffner – Does jasmonic acid attract wasps to tomatoes?
Highly doubtful. I expect the gardeners that were featured in this particular exam question realized that there were less caterpillars and assumed the wasps were attracted to the plant covered in the acid. What they probably failed to notice was the fact that the caterpillars were actually beginning to dissolve in the acid and drip off the leaves. So no wasps are not attracted to the tomato plants the acid was just breaking the caterpillars down into a green goo.
