Curriculum Practical Training (CPT) is a privilege for international students who exhibited academic excellence and in good standing. The department will recommend CPT for student who has studied in the department at least two consecutive semesters either in the MSIT program or BSIT program. To apply a CPT, you need to obtain an offer letter from a sponsor, preferably in the Central Valley region. Make an appointment with the department chair or the graduate coordinator. Also, you need to register in a supervisory course, i.e.: IT 190, IT 199, IT 290 or IT 298. Students in the CPT period are expected to perform professional and display high level work ethics since you are representing the department.
