No dog is naturally aggressive. They end up that way due to lack of care and training. Pit Bulls can be wonderful caring dogs if they are treated and trained right. My Pit Bull, Chaos, would jump in front of a bullet for me or for any one else in my family. In a recent behavior test, Pit Bulls actually scored higher than a Golden and Lab. But, the reason they account for more attacks than any other breed is due to mistreatment and abuse. In some cases, there are certain things than could have triggered a dog to attack. For example, a little girl in oregon was playing on her swing all by herself with NOBODY ANYWHERE in sight. She says a strange Pit Bull came up to her and just straight out attacked her but she was of coarse SWINGING back and forth. Her father and a few neighbors came out and started to beat on the dog which only made him more enraged and only accomplished the fact that he would bite down harder and make it more difficult to get him off.
