Starving Artists was dedicated to drawing. So whats changed?
After many discussions we’ve finally made the decision to open Starving Artists to all media. The original “Drawings only” policy arose from the site’s beginning as a single page at Mike Sibley Fine Art – the graphite studio. Other reasons existed also. For example, economical use of limited webspace and fast page loading – pencil drawings saved as “greyscale” images need only one-third the storage space and download two-thirds faster than coloured images. Now with the greater use of broadband and our dedicated 80GB server the reasons for these restrictions are no longer valid. So the decision has been made – Starving Artists is now multi-media!
