variables that start with an uppercase letter and don’t contain a lower case letter. For this to work, the ‘viminfo’ option must contain the ‘!’ flag. Vim will store the variables in the viminfo file. For more information, read :help ‘viminfo’ :help viminfo-file :help variables 25.6.
