SPAY OR NEUTER?
I also recommend (not required) spaying or neutering your pet. This is advantageous is many ways to your pet and to you. Spaying your female eliminates the regular heat, which can be messy and draws the neighborhood males. Neutering your male reduces and or eliminates the natural territorial instinct they have to mark their territory. It also keeps him home when the neighborhood female goes in heat. This procedure can be done when they are about six months of age. This procedure can also give them a healthier, longer lifespan. It eliminates some health issues for them later in life.
