Spanish people – how divided is Spain? Do basques and Catalans view themselves as Spanish?
it really depends on who you face… Traditionally, people with lower income, or people that never leave his borough feel that neccessity of being “unique”, like, you know, my street is a country. As you are in more cosmopolitan areas you see that is not the case at all. The problem here in Spain is, only people that has not a work seems to have time to lose writing bulls*it on newspapers. The rest of us are quite busy working and actually having a life. About Cataluña specifically, you’ll see most of these separatism takes place in underdeveloped areas, same like in the Basque country, and it’s often a biased opinion, to try to get more money from the State. But anyway in the rest of Spain like Valencia, Mallorca, Madrid, Andalusia, Galicia people is ahead these stupid things.
